Emerging out of the avant-garde art movement at the turn of the 20th century, the technique of artistic collage has two founding fathers: Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque. Many claim that the first-ever artistic collage was “Still life BACH”, created by Georges Braque in 1912. I started my my collage work doing landscapes and city scapes. I use hand made papers, wood veneers, found embellishments and pages in each of these collages to keep the composition interesting drawing the viewer in. I’ve done several commission pieces in this collection. I do make some prints of this collection for purchase also which have a lot of popularity.
